County Sligo Golf Club - Rosses Point

Nice late start, breakfast at hotel then headed into town. Had a nhwander around the shops then made our way to Foley’s Bar to watch the Bledisloe Cup. Great fun and banter with the locals throughout. NZ won of course πŸ˜₯😒😭

Stopped at the local takeaway for a quick burger before heading off to Rosses Point to play golf at County Sligo. Our tee time was 2:30pm. Julie managed to empty a whole bottle of water into her handbag on the way, luckily there was no damage done, although much laughter was again had!!

The traditional selfie was taken before setting off. The first 3 holes were up and down a very steep hillside, then it levelled out to a very traditional links course.

The weather was again mostly kind to us, very mild, light winds and overcast ......until the last 3 holes where we saw some liquid sunshine as the Irish call it.

Julie & Sean beat Brian & I 5/3. Julie had the best overall score with 33 points - finishing the last 2 holes birdie, birdie - great effort Jules 😎🏌️‍♀️πŸ€⛳️
The course was lovely, much easier walking than yesterday and there were some really interesting holes.
Today we walked 13.1km, 20,706 steps and climbed 10 flights

As we got wet at the end we decided to head straight back to the hotel after golf. It was well after 7pm too so a quick shower then a trip into town for a lovely Italian meal. Great food and lovely atmosphere.
Tomorrow is a “day off” - driving to Belmullet and plan to watch the hurling final which is MASSIVE over here.
Well, another wonderful day is over, 7 games in 7 days, lots of walking, eating and laughing so far.....let the games continue 😴😴
