Dooks Golf Club

A very lazy start for us all this morning, watched the Bledisloe Cup in our pj’s while eating breakfast

Laundry done, I went and did a little shopping then we headed off to play Dooks GC

We had a nice lunch at the club then headed to the first tee. The sun was shining, no jumpers or wet weather gear required today. There was also no wind today, very calm conditions

The first hole was a little deceptive for what was to come around the corner, but the 2nd hole opened up to the most beautiful scenery, right on the water - stunning ⛳️😀

I loved the course, because it was a bit shorter than all the others we have played I was actually able to reach the greens in regulation, and actually scored quite well.

The  matchplay part of the competition is now over. The format and results will be posted Monday night. We are now into the final 36 hole section of the program which is individual single stable ford.
Today’s winner was ......Me! Finally I had a win with 34 points. Brian - 30, Julie - 29 and Sean - 28. No birdies today

Today we walked 13km, did 21,454 steps and only climbed 1 flight - a much flatter course ⛳️

Whilst it was not the best course we played, the magnificent views and beautiful weather made it another great day.
We finished about 6:30pm so headed straight back home, wandered down the road for pizza and beers 🍺, then had an ice cream before heading home to watch the golf
Tomorrow is a day off, going to visit Cork before driving to Kinsale for our final game at Old Head on Monday ⛳️
