Ireland 2018

Finally, after a year or more in the planning it is time to go ....... to Ireland. Flying Cathay to HK then a short transit to fly Finnair to Helsinki. 36 hours in Helsinki to have a look around, then in to Dublin on Sunday to start our mammoth golfing adventure with Julie & Brian. It has been a looooong week and as the flight is an overnighter I hope to get some sleep 😏





A few drinks in the lounge before boarding - cya in HK ✈️✈️✈️

Arrived safely, got some sleep once horizontal, thank goodness for ear plugs as lots of snoring going on 😏 watched one movie and a short doco.

HK wet and dreary, only an hour to transit then onto Finnair to Helsinki. 9.5hrs for the next leg, Finnair were awesome, food was fabulous and even though it was same A350 as Cathay it felt more spacious, bright and new. Watched a couple of movies, got some sleep and then we arrived. About 20 hours in total - not bad!

Checked into airport Hilton and had a much needed shower. 28 degrees today, a few clouds building for an afternoon storm? Got the bus into the city and had a wander round to stretch the legs and get some fresh air.

Had a really nice Italian meal for dinner, lots of alfresco dining options throughout the city, looks really nice.

Doing the hop on hop off bus tomorrow so will post more pics then. Back to hotel now, getting ready for an early night so we can be fresh for a full day tomorrow - sleep tight 😴😴😴
