Day off golf - Belmullet

Nice leisurely start to the day, breakfast was yet again filling and tasty. packed up the van and headed south west towards Belmullet.
Stopped in Ballina for coffee, then took the coast road with a plan to look at the views. We were high up under the clouds so all we saw was fog and mist for most of the trip. Arrived in Belmullet and checked into our lodge then headed straight into town, via the golf club for a quick look.

This is how they served my no alcohol beer, with a glass of ice!

Had lunch in a pub then planned to watch the All Ireland Hurling Final there, however the smell from the men’s toilet in the front bar drove us out and we headed back past our lodge to Frank’s bar which advertised big screens to watch sport.

Wow, what a wonderful game to watch, so fast and so exciting. Limerick won by 1 Point in the final minute, they had not won for 45 years so it was a terrific win. We all really enjoyed it.
Decided to stay at this centre, played a game of pool 🎱- Sean & Jane won this one. Then decided to do some 10 pin bowling - Julie won this one

Decided to go back to the bar for some drinks and snacks to finish off our day.
A nice quiet day to give our bodies a bit of a rest but keen to start the golf again tomorrow at Carne Golf Club 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️⛳️
Only 2.2km walked today, 3,456 steps and 2 flights
